Maintenance Technician

Pierre's Ice Cream Company is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, hands-on Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment and facilities for our plant and distribution center are operating at maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
Safely operate ammonia refrigeration system and equipment.
Repair and maintain all production and distribution equipment.
Work closely with Production, Distribution, and Quality Assurance managers to effectively coordinate maintenance work.
Perform PMs using Company supplied software and ensure timely completion.
Ensure safe operations and enforce LOTO, Food Defense, Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, GMPs, HACCP programs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 5 years previous facility maintenance experience.
Solid working knowledge of facility and equipment maintenance.
Certification and experience operating ammonia refrigeration system a plus.
Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Manufacture ice cream utilizing ice cream production and packing equipment.
Maintain counts and monitor usage of ingredients, ice cream mix, and packaging materials.
Retrieve stock from warehouse as needed.
Pre-op equipment set-ups and post-op sanitation.
Clean and maintain work areas.

Responsibilities
Stack, sort and palletize cases of ice cream, weighing between 6 and 30 pounds.
Move palletized product using powered and non-powered equipment.
Stretch-wrap and store finished product in plant storage freezer.
Maintain accurate inventory of finished product and ingredients utilizing the computerized inventory system and/or manual counts.
Retrieve and store frozen ingredients as assigned.
Clean and maintain work areas.
Overtime and/or weekends as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Related experience is preferred.

Candidates must have the ability to efficiently and accurately pull product to fulfill customer orders using Voxware voice pick software; operate an electric pallet jack; and move and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
