One cold, moonlit autumn Halloween night, filled with the howls of wolves and hoots of owls, a group of merry trick-or-treaters wandered up to the oldest, darkest, creepiest house on the hill. Their path led through a graveyard, up a set of creaky steps and to a door that was already ajar. They pushed it open and, following a loud, long, creak, were greeted by … an ice cream party!
Ice cream, sherbet and sorbet are great treats for any Halloween celebration. Think scary milkshakes, ghost cookie sandwiches, party punch, … even a beer float. There’s also this creepy sundae we found in Pierre’s book of spells … er … ice cream recipes.
Cemetery Sundaes:
Pierre’s Emerald Cookies & Fudge Ice Cream
Chocolate sandwich cookies
Gummi worms
Graham Crackers
Decorating icing
Place a large scoop of ice cream into a dish. Drop in the gummi worms. Write a tombstone inscription onto top part of graham cracker using decorating icing. Insert graham cracker into the ice cream so only the top half is exposed, resembling a tombstone. Crumble the chocolate sandwich cookies and completely cover the worms and ice cream with the crumbs.
