Frosty, thick and delicious, milkshakes are a popular American treat and are easy to make. You simply blend together ice cream and milk.
Milkshakes came into being in the early 1900s and were soon a popular treat at drugstore soda fountains, diners and burger restaurants.
To make them, follow the easy instructions below or watch us make them on Pierre’s YouTube channel.
Start with a large glass or mug. It’s even better if you pop it in the freezer to chill first!
Combine two generous cups of Pierre’s Ice Cream with 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup of milk in a blender.
For this recipe, we’re using Pierre’s Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.
Blend the ice cream and milk together for at least 30 seconds, or until it’s as smooth or as thick as you want.
For some extra fun, add toppings like chocolate chips, cookies or broken candy bars. Pour the mixture into frosted mugs and enjoy!
Use these steps to create your own favorite milkshake flavors. Be creative! Try blending Pierre’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream with Butterfinger candy bars. Mix Vanilla Frozen Yogurt with fresh strawberries or strawberry preserves. Or, try Pierre’s Double Fudge Brownie with coconut flakes.
The possibilities are endless! Try some of them out for yourself and share photos of your homemade creations on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages!
