Here’s to a delicious New Year!

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are special in that we each celebrate in our own unique way.

Some of our favorite Pierre’s traditions are among the frozen variety, of course. Listed below are a few we wish to share with you. No matter how you plan to celebrate, all of us at Pierre’s wish you and yours a safe, fun and prosperous New Year!

Santa’s Punch

Santa’s Punch is delicious, easy to make and is a long-time Pierre’s tradition! Our family recipe calls for 1 quart of pineapple juice, 2 quarts of lemon-lime Kool-Aid, 2 liters of ginger ale and 1 quart of Pierre’s Lime Sherbet. Mix the Kool-Aid as instructed. Pour it and the pineapple juice into your favorite punch bowl. Add the sherbet one scoop at a time and pour in the ginger ale at the end.

Ice cream cannolis?

Yes! Many New Year’s parties are finger food feasts. This dessert recipe is called George Washington’s Cherry Tree, and is the delicious creation of Tri-C student and 2016 Pierre’s Ice Cream Challenge finalist, Humberto Sanchez. All you need are pre-made cannoli shells … mini or full size, chocolate sprinkles, cherries and Pierre’s Signature Cherries & Chocolate Chunks Ice Cream.

Pierre-Tinis

No need to shake or stir … the Pierre-Tini is inspired by the well-known alcoholic mixed drink and is made using Pierre’s Sorbet. We created two recipes, the second being an alcohol-free version. Here’s to a Happy New Year!
